Opinion - The Democrat says

Live Oak — In just a little over three weeks we will know who our new representatives in government will be. Will the voters choose to keep Obama or take their chances on Romney? Will it be Yoho or Gaillot as our next representative? Or shall it be Dodds?

What will become of the superintendent of schools race? Will Scarborough keep his post or will he be ousted by Laxton?

Some races you can almost predict. It’s those that you hear so much about, both positive and negative, that make you wonder.

Who will you be choosing?

To give you a better sense of the candidate, we are publishing the candidate questionnaires that were sent out earlier this year. Those candidates that were on the primary ballot (and those that chose to participate) were published prior to early voting in August. The winners from the primary will have their four questions and answers republished alongside those that were not on the primary ballot but will be on the general ballot Nov. 6. (Again, those that participated).

These candidate questionnaires will be published in the Oct. 19 edition.

To give you an even better sense of the candidate, we decided to ask them four more questions. Those questions and the candidate’s answers will be published in the Oct. 24 edition.

To wrap up this election cycle forum, our picks for each office will be published in the Oct. 26 edition in addition to our thoughts on each of the 11 proposed amendments to the Florida Constitution.

Early voting commences Oct. 27.
