Live Oak —
If you can’t find something to do this weekend it’s nobody’s fault but your own. There are at least five events that we know of and most will be fun for the whole family.
Get some exercise, have a good time with friends and neighbors while also helping out a worthy cause. The Pregnancy Care Centers of Live Oak and Lake City will be challenging each other in the quest to exceed a goal of $25,000 through a walk/5K run event to be held Saturday. Proceeds help the centers.
Suwannee County is known for helping others and making sure that those helping have a good time. The Harlem Legends will take on the Suwannee Valley All Stars Saturday at 4:30 p.m. at the Suwannee County Coliseum in Live Oak.
Two local clubs are holding tournaments this Saturday with proceeds helping locals. The Lions Club Horseshoe Tournament will help those Suwannee County residents that are in need receive eyeglasses. The Rotary Club will raise funds through a golf tournament to help the disaster relief efforts.
Don’t forget to unwind tonight at the Branford Annual Rodeo. Now in its 56th year, the rodeo is sure to be fun for the whole family. There will be a parade Saturday.
A reminder that the Bulldog and Buccaneer football teams are off this week. They will be back in action next Friday.
