I want to apologize for my rant last week. In it I called the people who are doing the littering in my area "pigs". That was rude and uncalled-for. I was only trying to get these people to think before throwing their garbage out on the roads...Again, I am sorry for resorting to name-calling.

I would like to praise the Suwannee High School and Middle School soccer coaches and teams! It has been an exciting and successful season for both schools. Great job guys and gals of both schools! Thank you coaches for your expertise and wisdom. The impact you've had will be apparent in many of these players for years to come! Now, RANT....why isn't there more coverage for our successes in soccer????? It would be nice to see more in the paper and online.

I encourage everyone who has a child enrolled in Branford to call the School Superintendent and ask him why Live Oak Schools are apparently more important than Branford’s. Why when just a short time ago while Branford was an “A” school ranked with the top schools in the nation did he feel it right to move our two best principals from Branford to Live Oak. Now Branford is a “C” school and is substandard. When I asked Scarborough, I was told that he felt that Live Oak needed Roush more than Branford.

Will somebody in the city of Live Oak please help pass a barking dog ordinance? I have a neighbor that has four dogs that bark all day and night in the city limits. Don't I deserve the same rights as anyone else. I work pay my bills and do not want to hear this everyday. I am not allowed in my own backyard without hearing this steady yapping. Please Live Oak City Council. HELP!!

Fake pot is clearly dangerous,so is huffing gasoline, let's ban that too! Ya can't ban stupidity. The real thing is obviously safer & 80 yrs. of banning that hasn't accomplished squat. Folks still smoke it while gangsters, cartels, & the justice system make a fortune on it . Taxpayers are going broke paying for enforcing ineffective "bans" though.

In response to the rant published Jan. 27 about Suwannee High School not abiding by a designated day for tests. Yeah, that’s the reason the students aren’t successful, too many tests in one day. That’s also the reason why at sporting events the students act like animals, I’m sure it’s the school’s fault. It’s got nothing to do with home training and parent involvement and monitoring your children’s behavior. Nothing at all. Keep pointing that finger in the other direction. Don’t hold yourself accountable for your child’s successes or failures or behavior, because they’ll be society’s problem soon enough.
