Live Oak — just because you are from palm bay and love palm trees well you should have stayed in palm bay this is LIVE OAK not the beach and i hope the beetles hurry up and find them so we won't have to look at the ugly things. somebody seems to want our little town to be different from any where else this is farming country.

To the person whining and being selfish about the "Happy Holidays" sign at the roundabout- You are just proving that Christians are self-centered. You're basically giving a one-fingered salute to all the Buddhists, Muslims, Jews, and Atheists. Holidays fits us all, Christmas does not. Stop being selfish, its making the rest of your religion look bad.

I was wondering if people in Suwannee have anything better to do than rant and rave about every little thing. Each week it's something new, no jobs, now you can buy liquor, we don't want a dump, we dont like our commissioners, the list goes on and on. Wake up people there is more to life than sitting on your computer complaining about every little thing. The county is trying to grow and move in the right direction and it seems certain people are happy living back in the past. Do you really want to be known as a county that is 25 years behind the times?

This is in response to The Suwannee scribbler about the Oak trees. I agree that the oak trees are pretty but we dont need any protection laws for these trees. Myself as a land owner I dont want any laws telling me what and how I can clear my property. We have too many crazy laws on the books now. My opinion to him is that if he wants to hug trees then buy all the property himself and then he can do with it as he feels.

However, I'm sure that the Rant and Raves are probably just copy and pasted which means that it's the people in this town who are ill-educated. Let's do better, Suwannee County.

The Happy Holidays sign, people are complaing about is not meant to be disrespectful.This has long been referred to as the holiday season because there are 6 Holidays for different religions between Thanksgiving and New Years.The term Happy Holidays is mostly used so that all Holidays are included rather than all having a different sign.
