Cameron for Superintendent, 2016! Sheriff Cameron spoke with more authority and confidence than all the school officials combined at the Town Hall Meeting, Thursday night (Feb. 7) on the subject of reconfiguration.

I have lived in Live Oak my entire life so I don't know why it continues to suprise me the length at which City Hall will go to to prevent businesses from growing here. Lord forbid anyone have a successful business that might continue for our children. Especially in the economy we have today we need all the help we can get for small businesses, not more ridiculous regulations.

For many years I was not a handicapped citizen, BUT NOW I AM !

The situation at the Post Office is shameful! Please remove the shubbery on the north front end of the building...then put in a ramp for those of us that cannot safely make it up the front steps. Yes, I know there is a handicapped access at the rear of the building, but I can tell I am a nusance to the staff when I go that way with a box.

For years the USPS found money to fund Lance Armstrong! Somewhere there has to be enough funds to build us a ramp!I have found many local people who feel the same as I do about this ramp. Let' see if anything can realistically be done... and in the near future.

It seems that the three newly- formed elementary schools will open their doors in August whether we like the idea or not. Now comes another issue to be agreed upon...what will we name them? As a former teacher of many years in this county, I suggest we name them in honor of deceased long-time elementary educators who touched the lives of many local citizens...ladies like Mrs. Alma Bass, Mrs. Louise Hall, and Mrs. Pat Resor. Surely this would be better than names with numbers or directions! Well, I guess we will now listen out for the Superintendent to tell us how it will be done!

I have some important news to share. I have come to believe that demons drive cars. They appear to be regular folks, but you will know they are actually demons in disguise by the way they pull out in front of you with their car, especially if there's no other cars behind you as far as the eye can see. Then they will go slow when you cannot pass and speed up when you can.

If you are not a demon, I don't care if you pull out in front of me. Really....I'm not one of those people that have to be first. If you pull out in front of me, just do me a favor. Step on the long, skinny pedal.

Is it any wonder citizens don't think they must stop at Stop signs when deputies don't either?

I think we should just fire everyone who has something to do with the City of Live Oak (police,comminsers,judges,city hall)and vote for new and younger member!

To the person who's dog was chasing cars and now presumed dead. My condolences. But your dog was a risk also not only to himself but to drivers. It is your responsibility to keep your dog off of the streets. I just had one hit and killed and blame no one but myself.

Taxpayers. It’s time to wake up. County commissioners want to give Randy Harris a $30,000 a year pay raise. This would make him be $120,000 per year. And give him a five to seven year contract? This is more than any elected official makes. It’s time to wake up. He’s breaking the county.

It's time to impeach our elected officials who want to provide citizenship to those who have violated our immigration laws. NOW!

With 11 million U. S. citizens unemployed, the 12 million non-citizens here illegally should give up their jobs and return to their native countries. Then, those unemployed could take over the jobs they left.  Illegals, by definition, have broken federal laws and should not be rewarded by being given citizenship.  Citizenship should be given to those on the legal immigration waiting list.
