The old Nettie Baisden Primary School should be restored.
In Columbia County, the former junior high school has been transformed into a very nice complex for administrative offices.
Let's not neglect all of our older buildings which remain in Live Oak.

Chuck Maxwell is a worker with the county rotating various dumpster sites in Suwannee County. Recently, he helped me by providing a Suwannee County Solid Waste Facility brochure which included a detailed schedule for the entire county. As I observed him working diligently, the site on Highway 51 just south of the Church of Christ, was the cleanest I have ever seen it. Not only is he a good worker but he is also a great conversationalist. Chuck Maxwell should be cloned - every site needs him and his work ethic and personality.

In many ways, more is said than is done. Sometimes it pays to do something rather than just talk about doing something. Seems like there are more sayers than doers.

In response to the Rant and Rave in the November 9th issue regarding polling places at churches, where would you suggest we set these polling places up where there's sufficient space and parking? If you don't like the way things are done, get involved with solutions, not complaining anonymously.
