Live Oak — Page 9A of Nov. 30's Suwannee Democrat said, "Suwannee County has been chosen to receive $16,074" grant (aka, our future tax dollars.)  My questions are, How can FEMA give away any money, much less when it is currently $17.775 BILLION in debt? and, Where in the U. S. Constitution, as amended, is the federal government given the power to give tax dollars to charities?  www.fas.org/sgp/crs/misc/R40650.pdf,  Congress' behavior is criminal!  Any bets as to whether or not the United Way of Suwannee Valley will refuse this illegal 'gift?'

The city needs to invest in some additional Christmas decorations for the town of Live Oak. In my opinion the entire length of both 129 and 90 should be lit up from city limit to city limit sign. How did they decide where to begin and end the current decorations and lights?

****

Live Oak needs a Cracker Barrel out by I-10 north of McDonald's or somewhere in that vicinity. I am certain it would be crowded most of the time with local customers and those traveling the interstate. Has anyone ever considered this? The one is Lake City does a great business.

****

Does Live Oak or Suwannee County have a shelter for homeless people who need a good, warm meal and a place to put their heads at night. Frequently there are 3-4 of the same folks who appear to live on the streets.

What a great Christmas on the Square that we’ve had. Susan Hillhouse and crew did a fantastic job. My hats off to the crew. You done a great job and it was a great atmosphere and we had a great time while we were visiting the Christmas on the Square. My hats off to the great crew at the Chamber of Commerce for the great job they did. I loved it.
