Live Oak —
Melody Church announces their first annual “Love Week”. The week of Feb. 10-16, members of the church vow to donate 2,500 volunteer hours along with $2,500 to several local organizations in Suwannee County. Children to senior citizens will be able to serve our community through this organized week of volunteering.
The organizations chosen by Melody Church are as follows: Love In The Name of Christ, Pregnancy Care Center, Vivid Visions, ARC, Drug Free Coalition, Local Life Thrift Store and Tropical Storm Debby Clean Up. Melody has chosen a member of the church to be an ambassador to each organization, this ambassador will work closely with the organizations to schedule community service events throughout Love Week. Pastor Darrin Baldwin said, “Our vision is to infiltrate Suwannee County with the Love of Christ through volunteering.”
Melody Church invites individuals as well as other churches to join them in volunteering this week. For more information, contact the church office or follow them on facebook at facebook.com/melodychurchliveoak or visit their website at melodychurch.com.
The church is located US 129 South.
Pastor Darrin Baldwin envisions Love Week to be an annual event.
“The love of Jesus is not meant to stay in the four walls of the church,” said Baldwin.
