Live Oak —
The Live Oak Fire Department was dispatched Tuesday afternoon to a wreck on Hwy 129 North in front of Lowe's in Live Oak for a two vehicle wreck. It is unknown at this time how the accident occurred.
The driver of one of the vehicle's, a red pickup truck, was trapped inside the vehicle and the Jaws of Life were used to gain access to him. A sheet was placed over him temporarily to prevent additional injuries from breaking glass or metal.
LOFD Capt. Jerry Sullivan has confirmed that one person sustained injuries and transported to a local hospital for further treatment. Sullivan said he was uncertain of the severity of the injury.
