Democrat Morning Update for Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013

Live Oak — Weather:

  • A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly between 10am and 1pm. Patchy fog before 8am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph.

     
  • Wednesday Night A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. Light east wind.

Traffic:



HAMILTON COUNTY:



Interstate 75  Daytime and nighttime lane closures Sunday through Thursday for northbound traffic between State Road 6 (Exit 460) and the Georgia line for paving. Two lanes are closed between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. to pave the center lane. The speed limit is reduced to 60 mph during lane closures. No lanes are closed from 6 a.m. Friday until 8 p.m. Sunday.



Interstate 75  Daytime lane closures Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Alapaha River bridge (1 ½ miles south of State Road 6/Exit 460) for routine bridge inspection.



US 41  Daytime lane closures after 8:30 a.m. between the Columbia County line (Suwannee River Bridge) and US 129 just south of Jasper to place the final roadway markings and upgrade signals, work on the roadway shoulders and install guardrail at various locations.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY:



County Road 354  Daytime lane closures between US 27 and State Road 51 (Hal Adams Bridge) to pave the bike trail on the north and east side of the road, install signage and place pavement markings.



State Road 51  Daytime lane closures between County Road 354 and the Hal Adams Bridge to pave the bike trail on the east side of the road, install signage and place pavement markings.
