Ronald Jason Cook, age 62, lost his courageous battle with cancer on April 21, 2012. Mr. Cook was born in Sayre, Pennsylvania on Dec. 27, 1949 to Anna L. and Richard Bowen of Rome, Pennsylvania and the late James L. Cook Jr. Mr Cook graduated from Boca Raton High School in 1968, served in the United States Army from 1969-1971, was owner of C&D Motors in McAlpin, Fla. and served as volunteer fire fighter in Suwannee County for 30 years.
Mr. Cook was preceded in death by father, James L. Cook Jr., and stepbrother, Robert Bowen. Survivors include: Parents, Anna L. and Richard Bowen; two daughters: Tammy Cook and friend, Frankie Daniel of Live Oak; Kelly Renfroe (Shane) of Madison, Fla.; granddaughter, Lily Hough; sisters, Joy Drake and Mike of Litchfield, Pa.; step sisters, Lois Gray and Terry of Rome, Pa. and Carol Payne of Live Oak, Fla.; brothers, Rexford Cook, Boca Raton, Fla. and Rodney Cook of Litchfield, Pa.; step brothers, Barry Bowen and Kathy of Rome, Pa.; Gale Bowen and Tammy of Roma, Pa., Dale Bowen and Missy of Athens, Pa., Dave West of Live Oak.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to McAlpin Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 87, McAlpin, FL, 32062.

Charles Wesley George Jr., age 50, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at his residence in Branford, Florida. Mr. George was born in Starke, Florida, to Charles George Sr. and the former Katie Burton. Coming from Suwannee County, Florida, he had lived in Branford for the past 10 years. He was a member of Midway Baptist Church and worked on a dairy farm. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, gardening, and farm work.
Survived by his wife of 12 years, Dawn George, of Branford, Fla., his parents, Charles and Katie George, of Suwannee County, Florida, a daughter, Alliemarie Rebecca George, of Branford, Fla., (2) brothers; David George and wife Dana, of Lafayette County, Fla., Josh George and wife Amber, of Columbia County, Fla., (2) sisters; Sandra Kines and husband Glenn, of Suwannee County, Fla., and Sharon Causey, of Mayo, Fla., numerous nieces, nephews, and two great-nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at Midway Baptist Church on Thursday, April 26, 2012, at 11 a.m. with Bro. Danny Rogers, officiating. Interment will follow at Midway Baptist Church.

Alyssa Latoya Warren Parrish, 28, a resident of Crestview, Florida, departed this journey on April 22, 2012. Alyssa was born on Feb. 6, 1984 in Gainesville, Florida to Cornelius Warren and Linda Brown. Alyssa was definitely her “Daddy’s lil girl.”
She leaves to mourn and cherish her memory: mother Linda Brown, Crestview, Fla.; father Cornelius Warren (Clydett), Lake City, Fla.; children Kalese Mitchell (12), Jernayshia Couch (8), Jerome Parrish (7 months); brothers Adrian Warren, Crestview, Fla., Ira Warren (Frankie), Gainesville, Fla., Deron Warren, Valdosta, Ga.; special nephew Xavion Warren (11 months); uncles Pastor Willie J. Warren (Joyce), Live Oak, Fla., Albert Warren (Mamie), Live Oak, Florida, Sylvester Warren (Rosetta), Gainesville, Florida; aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and sorrowing friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Cornelius and Marie Warren and Laura Houston and Milton Brown; special aunt Lillie Mae Warren.
Funeral services for Alyssa will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Willie J. Warren officiating. Burial will follow in Eastside Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church.
