BREAKING: Proposed landfill application to be pulled, company will file at a later date

Live Oak — Clyde A. Biston of Cross Environmental Resources Management LLC announced today that he is pulling his application to locate a class I landfill north of Live Oak.

"We're pulling the application to a later date, we just feel like there is more opposition than we expected," Biston said Monday. "We want to educate the public more and people don't understand the savings."

As of now, Biston said he has not set a date to refile for a permit.

More to follow.
