Mr. John “Chris” Stoudemire A.K.A. “Phat Joe”, 37, passed away Monday, Feb. 4, 2013. He was born in Miami, Florida and was a resident of Live Oak, Florida. Chis was known by many as “Phat Joe”.
Chris is survived by his father, Willie (Helen) Stoudemire, seven brothers: Quintin (Henretta) Stoudemire, Richard (Rochelle) Gross, Willie Stoudemire Jr., Kenneth (Fannie) Stoudemire, Roddrick (Tina) Stoudemire, Jermaine Darling, and Tyrone Darling, and one sister Deanza Stoudemire; one close uncle Mr. Larry Johnson and many other close relatives and friends.
Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at D.M. Udell's Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services for Mr. John “Chris” Stoudemire, A.K.A. “Phat Joe” will be Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the African Baptist Church in Live Oak, Florida. Burial will be in the Beulah Hill Cemetery in Live Oak, Florida. Repast at Stoudemire's Restaurant.

Alfred “Al” Allen

Alfred “Al” Allen, age 42, of Lee, Florida passed away early Sunday, February 3, 2013 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Al was born at Ft. Benning, GA and was a retired corrections officer and did taxidermy work on the side. Most recently he worked part time at the Rajun Cajun in Lake Park. Al was preceded in death by his father, James Henry Allen.
Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Teressa Denmark Allen, Lee, FL.; one daughter, McKayla Allen, Jasper, FL.; his mother, Levera Allen, Valdosta, GA.; two brothers, Jimmy Allen (Delores), McDonough, GA. and Jon Allen (Christy), Valdosta, GA.; two sisters, Susan Reiter (Keith), Valdosta, GA. and Jan Knapp (Steven), Prairie Du Chien, WI.; 5 nephews, 4 nieces, 2 great nieces and 4 great nephews; mother-in-law, Janette Cowart, Jennings, FL.; father-in-law, Walter Denmark (Christine), Valdosta, GA.; and sister-in-law, Cindy Lee, Jennings, FL.; his canine companion “Chloe”.
Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 at Philadelphia Baptist Church in McAlpin, FL. with Pastor Brett Jarriel officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Donald Ray Herron

Donald Ray Herron age 69, of McAlpin, FL passed away early Monday morning, February 11, 2013 at his home following a brief illness. He was a native of Boaz, Alabama moving to Live Oak in 1979 from Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Donald was a self employed carpenter who enjoyed the outdoors, horseback riding, cattle farming, hunting turkey and deer and going to the beach. He was a very active member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a loving family man who cherished his family. He will be greatly missed and his presence in our lives has been a gift for which we will be forever grateful.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte Herron, McAlpin, FL; three daughters, Gwendolyn Rae (Gary) Walker, Treea Ann (Tony) Foster and Darace Charlotte (Brance) Hahn all of McAlpin; three brothers, Kenneth Herron, Luraville; David Herron, O’Brien; Dean Herron, Live Oak; three sisters, Shelby Webb, McAlpin; Brenda Halfeken, Live Oak; Susie Gaines, Orlando; five grandchildren, LaKrishna (Patrick) Cagle, Dakota Foster, Davalyn Foster, Alyssa Hahn and River Hahn.
Visitation was held Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 13, 2013 in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Richardson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Citrus County of the Nature Coast, 857 SW Main Blvd, Suite 125, Lake City, FL 32025 in his name.

Richard Carroll Pittman, age 72, of Live Oak, Florida passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 at Shands at U.F. in Gainesville, Florida. Richard was born on March 2, 1941 in Valdosta, Georgia to the late Carroll and Verda Mae Anderson Pittman and was a former resident of Hamilton County. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Billy, Bobby and Winston, Jr. and a sister, Molly Elizabeth Moore.
Survivors include his wife of more than 40 years, Vera Pittman; one son, Richard Pittman, III, Live Oak, FL.; five daughters, Sherri Kuhn of Indiana, Mary Ordonez, Vera Michelle Pittman, Wanda Silvan (Jesus), Jennifer Pittman , all of Live Oak, FL.; one brother, Jonathan Pittman (Maxine), Live Oak, FL.; three sisters, Patricia P. Lord (Sidney), Live Oak, FL., Jean McGarrah (Buddy), Ochlocknee, FL. and Wanda McCall (James), Jasper, FL.; 19 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2013 in the chapel of Harry T. Reid Funeral Home.

Jewel Lewis Branham, age 93, died Sunday, February 10, 2013 in Live Oak, Fl.
Visitation and funeral services will be held Friday, 10 a.m., Feb. 15, 2013 at Bixler Memorial Chapel, Dowling Park, Fl with burial at Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando, Fl on Saturday at 2 p.m.
The Branham’s moved to Cocoa, Fl in 1945 and then moved to Dowling Park in 1997. They were members of the Village Church in Dowling Park.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest H. Branham, a sister, Clois Yates and a brother, Kermit Lewis.
She is survived by one son, Mark Branham (Willa) of Madison, FL; one daughter, Gail Kuester (William) of Hagerstown, MD; one brother, Roy Lewis (Betty) of St. Louis, MO; four grandchildren: Marcia Bass (Donnie), Wendy Branham, Gregory Kuester (Jessica) and Matthew Kuester; four great grandchildren: Gavin Branham Bass, Camryn Michelle Bass, Megan Elise Bass and Reagan Jane Kuester.
