Live Oak —
An inmate died at Suwannee County Correctional Institution on Friday, Jan. 25, the Florida Department of Corrections has confirmed.
William Bevan, 25, had been incarcerated since July 13, 2010 and was serving two five-year sentences for aggravated battery and two one-year sentences for prevention or obstruction of a fire extinguisher.
The cause of death isn’t being released at this time.
“The death is under investigation at this time and we cannot release any further details until the investigation is complete,” said DOC Public Information Officer Jo Ellyn Rackleff.
