Weather update

Live Oak — The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch until 3 p.m. and a flood watch until 12 p.m. today. In addition, there is a hazardous weather outlook for a slight risk of severe thunderstorms today.

A lake wind advisory has been issued for all of northeast Florida today.

A strong cold front will move across our region today. Ahead of this cold front, south to southwest winds will increase to 20 to 25 mph with higher gusts this morning. A squall line of strong to severe thunderstorms will move eastward into portions of the Suwannee River Valley during the mid morning hours and then will progress towards coastal locations during the early afternoon hours.
