Leo Stanley Lee

Leo Stanley Lee, 86 passed away on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 after prolonged health problems. He was born in Suwannee County on Feb. 21, 1926 one of eleven children. He was a retired farmer and still enjoyed caring for a small herd of cows and growing a garden to share with his children. He was predeceased in death by his wife Peggy Ruth, daughter Carolyn Nettles and two grandsons Jason Peacock and Josh Lee. He is survived by three daughters, Kathryn (Wesley) Fullbright, Roseanna Lee, Becky (Steve) Dancy, one son, William Steven Lee, one brother, Hubert Lee of Live Oak and a sister Olivia Tillman of Jacksonville. Also twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. Many good friends and neighbors. He was a longtime member of Pine Grove Methodist Church. Visitation was at Daniels Funeral Home on Monday, Jan. 7 from 6-8 p.m. Services were conducted by Rev. Stanley Cribbs on Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 11 a.m. at Pine Grove United Methodist Church. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Robert Brady Cade Sr." Bob Cur Dog",69 of Madison, Fla. left this earth for the Kingdom of Heaven on Jan. 2, 2013 ,with family at his bedside.
Bob was born Aug. 12, 1943, in Lexington, Mississippi and moved to Live Oak, Fla. in 1956, where he graduated in 1961 from Suwannee High School.
After receiving a degree in education from Delta State University in Cleveland, Mississippi, he was a teacher and coach in Mayo and Wildwood, Fla. Later in his career he worked with the State of Mississippi and the State of Florida's prison systems, in various rehabilitation programs, where he was able to positively affect many lives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lois Brady Cade and John Allen Cade of Live Oak, Fla.
Survivors include his son, Robert Brady Cade Jr, his grandson, Robert Bryce Cade, his former wife, and dear friend, Gwen Brown Cade, of Perry, Fla.; his sister Jamie Cade Mckenzie(Rod) of Jacksonville,Fla., and a niece and nephew as well as many cousins.
The" Cur Dog", is what Bob named himself when he turned his life over to God, and under that nick name, began a Christian ministry that inspired many people to overcome and rise above the circumstances in their lives. "On the line, with Guts and God" was his motto as he spoke and motivated many groups, including AA, football teams, and students through out the south. Bob was at his happiest when he was giving pep talks and walking the sidelines with his beloved Madison County Cowboy football team.
He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church, in Madison, Fla., where there will be a Memorial Service and celebration of his life on Jan. 13 at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Preston Gainey officiating.

Terry P. Clouser

Terry P. Clouser, 67, passed away on Dec. 25, 2012 in Lake City, Fla.; after a short illness. He was born in Niagara Falls, New York on Feb. 12, 1945.
He was employed by Walmart in Live Oak as a Sales Associate for the past 6 years. Terry was saved and a Christian.
Mr. Clouser is survived by his son, Cary Clouser of St. Annes, Ontario, Canada, 5 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren; his sister Paulette (Rich) Miller Storms of Jacksonville, Fla. and his brother, Calvin (Suzzane) Clouser of McCormick, South Carolina. In addition, he is survived by 2 nephews, 5 nieces and 3 god-children. He will be missed and always loved by his family and friends.
A memorial Service will be on Jan. 12, 2013 at 11 a.m.; The First Advent Christian Church, 699 Pinewood Drive Live Oak, Fla. Family and friends are invited to attend.

Stephen “Micheal” Cordle

Stephen “Micheal” Cordle, age 22, of Ft. White, Fla. passed from this life Monday, Dec. 24, 2012 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident near White Springs. Micheal was born in Jasper, Fla. on April 23, 1990 and was employed by Industry Services in Lake City, Fla. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend and loved spending time with them.  He was preceded in death by grandparents whom he loved dearly, James and Hazel Farnell.
Survivors include his wife, Ginny W. Cordle and step-daughter, Payten Kay Corbett; a son, Mason Cordle;  his father, Stephen S. Cordle and step-mother Ginger, of Live Oak, Fla.; his mother, Yvonne M. Farnell, Cherokee, N.C.; two brothers, Keith Cordle, Live Oak, Fla. and Dillon Putnel, Temecula, CA; two step sisters, Traci McCormick (Rick) and Amy Steed (Aaron) of Lake City, FL. grandparents, William T. Cordle, Ocala and Susan Cordle, Gainesville, Fla. Stephen was so proud of his new family that included sister-in-law, Katlyn Mitchell and grandfather-in-law, John Wagoner all of Jasper.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2012 at the First Presbyterian Church in Jasper, Fla. Interment followed in Live Oak Cemetery, Live Oak, Fla.
Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, Fla. was in charge of arrangements.

Charles Leroy ‘C.L.’ Wood, Jr.

Charles Leroy ‘C.L.’ Wood, Jr., 67, of Live Oak, Fla. passed away on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013.  C.L. was born in Wellborn and lived most of his life in the Live Oak area.  He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam, worked at J.D. Hawkins Tree Farm and retired from the Florida State Farmer’s Market.  Mr. Wood was a member and deacon of Union Baptist Church, O’Brien, Fla. 
He is survived by his wife of 36 years:  Bonnie Diane Wood, Live Oak, Fla.; daughter:  Aimee Wood, Live Oak, Fla.; son:  Charles L. ‘Buddy’ Wood, III (Cathryn), Land O’Lakes, Fla.; three sisters:  Margaret Kirby (Billy), Wellborn, Fla.; Louise Feagle, Jasper, Fla.; Rachel Feagle (Mike), White Springs, Fla.; brother:  John Wood (Rosemary), Lake City, Fla.; sister-in-law:  Mary Wood, Lake City, Fla.; granddaughter:  Caroline Elizabeth Wood; and his ‘second mother’:  Milbrey Bellflower; and many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother:  Billy Wood. 
A visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2013 at Daniels Funeral Home, Live Oak, Fla.  Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 at Union Baptist Church, O’Brien, Fla. with Rev. Roger Sumner officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
