Roberta I. Ives, 85, O’Brien, Fla. passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012. The Newport, RI native moved to O’Brien from Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. in 1989 and was a member of O’Brien Baptist Church. She also worked for the Medical Personnel Pool in Ft. Lauderdale, was a 50 year member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #112 in Branford, Fla. and Women’s Mission for O’Brien Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband: Lewis Ives, Ocala, Fla.; three daughters: Judy Chezem, Ocala, Fla., Patricia Greene, Deltona, Fla., Sandra Scarbriel, Kingston, Pa.; two sons: Jim Burrows, Bellview, Fla., Donald R. Ives, Westfield, Ma.; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012 at O’Brien Baptist Church.

William H. "Bill" Eady, 86, Live Oak, Fl passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012 after a long illness. He was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict while serving in the Army and was a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Mr. Eady is survived by his wife of 64 years: Bertha L. Eady, Live Oak, Fla.; two sons: William H. Eady, Jr., Live Oak, Fla., Raymond L. Eady, Lakeland, Fla.; one sister: Dean Denham, Davenport, Fl; six grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11 at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church with Rev. John Hendricks officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

William McKinley Lloyd, Jr. born Aug. 12, 1940 in Jacksonville, Fla. left us to be with the Lord on Oct. 9, 2012 at the age of 72. William is survived by his wife of 50 years Sally Wright Lloyd, a daughter Mitzi (B.J) Sage, a son William (Jenny) Lloyd, also five grandchildren: Trey Sage, Kalee Sage, Katie Lloyd, Madison Lloyd and Claire Lloyd. He is also survived by his mother Rosetta Lloyd, he is preceded in death by his father William M. Lloyd. William was an avid fisherman, devoted hunter and lover of all flying machines. He earned a pilot’s license and enjoyed piloting. But mostly, he enjoyed being with his family and working on his farm. He was a full time farmer since 1986 after working as a fire fighter at Cecil Field for 20 years. He grew hay, sprigged grasses and baled wheat straw. He received the "Outstanding Farm Family of Suwannee County" award in 2002. He enjoyed tractors, electronic gadgets, and his many fox squirrels. William’s memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13 at Beth Haven Baptist Church , 5187 216th Street , Lake City, Fla. where he was a member. Dr. Herb Carter and Pastor Curt Bellinger are to officiate. Cremation is at Daniels Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. in Live Oak. William requested donations be made to Wounded Warriors in lieu of flowers.

Joanne Ledford, 60, Live Oak, Fla. passed away on
Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012 after a short illness. The Huntington, NY native moved to Live Oak in 1981 from South, Fla. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and was a member of Live Oak South Kingdm Hall of Jehovah’s witnesses. She is survived by her mother: Mary Carr, Live Oak, Fla.; two sons: Wayne Macgreger, II, Long Island, NY, Sean (Jennifer) Ledford, Live Oak, Fla.; one sister: Christine (Timmy) O’Connor, Long Island, NY; three brothers: Robert Carr, Jr, Live Oak, Fla., Donald ( Ellen) Carr, Live Oak, Fla. and Daniel J. (Barbara) Carr, Live Oak, Fla. A memorial service will be held at 4 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with Mr. Stan Snider officiating.

Rev. Joseph Hezekiah (J.H.) Brown, of Live Oak, Fla passed away at home on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012 with family at his bedside after battling a long term illness. He was born on July 26, 1924 to Harvey and Shellie Brown in Live Oak, Fla. He is survived by his wife Betty, of 67 years, daughter Pam (Frank) Nobles, grand children Tara Nobles, Krystyna (Donnie) Taylor, Alex Nobles and great grand-daughter Addilyn Warner and soon to be another great grandchild. He served his country as a World War II veteran. J.H. preached the gospel for 55 years serving 7 churches. He began his ministry at Fellowship Baptist Church in 1956 and then was ordained by Pine Level Missionary Baptist Church on Jan. 6, 1957 where he pastored for the last 16 years. He led his family, friends and community not only by his faithful words and deeds, but by living what he preached daily. He was a lover of people, never meeting a stranger who loved sharing the gospel of Christ. He also served the community for 38 years working for Live Oak Gas Co. and being a full time farmer. He is preceded in death by his sons Dennis and Randy Brown, Sisters Lillian Lyons, Doris Moseley, and Marie Owens. He leaves many memories to be cherished by a host of family and friends. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, Oct. 12, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Daniels Funeral Home in Live Oak. Services will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 at Orange Baptist Church.

Helen Jo Ford Mallory age 71 of Southfield, Michigan passed away on Friday Oct. 5, 2012. She was born in Live Oak, Florida on Nov. 15, 1940 to Willie Ford and Verdall Ford. She was an educator in the Detroit Public School System for 25 years. She is survived by her husband, Charles E. Mallory, Sr., two daughters Wanda R. Ford and Wendy R. Terrell; two sons Ronald K. McDonald and Charles E. Mallory, Jr.; six grandsons two granddaughters, two sisters, two brothers, one step-daughter, one step-son and four step-grandchildren. The Home going Celebration for Mrs. Mallory will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012 at The Ebenezer African Methodist Episcopal Church in Live Oak, Fla. Rev. Charles Graham is the pastor and Elder Henry Smart will officiate. Interment will follow in the Springville Community Cemetery. The family will receive other relatives and sorrowing friends Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Chapel of Eric A. Brown & Son Funeral Home.
