Will Bozeman wins Pitching Challenge
Six year old Will Bozeman won the Pitching Challenge and the Overall Top Competitor at the 2005 SouthWood Golf Club Pitch, Putt and Drive Junior Contest.

Suwannee Lady Dogbasketball hammers Bell
The Lady Dog basketball team hosted the Bell Lady Bulldogs Nov. 29 and showed the girls from Bell who the real Dogs were. The final score was 59-33 with Suwannee leading by 30 at one point in the fourth period.

Suwannee wrestling opens with big win
Suwannee wrestling opened huge with a win against Valdosta High School, a much larger school with a prestigious wrestling program. Four Dogs pinned their opponents in the match that Suwannee won 38-25.

Bulldogs win Tip-Off Classic
The bulldogs took home a big win in the opening games of the new 2005-06 basketball season. Suwannee hosted a Tip-Off Classic between Lafayette, Jefferson, Hamilton and Suwannee County schools.

East triumphs over West in alumni game
Suwannee High alumni faced off on the basketball court Friday, Nov. 18. It was East side West side game with the line of demarcation being Houston Street.

David Laxton inducted into National Wrestling Hall of Fame
Wrestling coach David Laxton has been coaching wrestling since 1968. Laxton said when he was in high school in Huntsville, Ala. as a senior, he wrestled for one season.

Madison advances to state semi-finals
Madison County defeated Pensacola Catholic to earn a spot in the state semi-finals. The game was a scoring-fest. The Cowboys won 52-44.
Several local teams fell.

Suwannee basketball wins first game of Tip-Off Classic
It was Live Oak's first look at men's basketball for the 2005-06 season and it was a good look. The Dogs put on a shooting show in the first quarter with starters Nate Herring, Mario Hawthorne, Dustin Doe, Jevon Smith and T.
