Lady ‘Dogs kick Terry Parker High in soccer matchup

Live Oak — The Suwannee County lady ‘Dogs varsity soccer team hosted Terry Parker High of Jacksonville on Thursday, Nov. 15.  Suwannee, defending an undefeated record, came into the game prepared for another challenge.

They scored their first goal, one minute and 13 seconds into the game. They followed that up with five more goals in the first half to make the score 6-0 at the half. The second half was a little slower starting but by the 14 minute mark in the second half, the game was over with an 8-0 victory for Suwannee.

The goals were scored by the following players: Kelsey Parlato had two goals and one assist,  captain Leigh Durden had one goal, Brooke Wainwright, who played the entire first half as Keeper, got to see some playing time and her first goal of the season. Riley Walczak scored two goals, Captain Grace Brett scored one and Captain Meghan Tyrell scored one for her first of the season also.

Following their game against Terry Parker, Suwannee improved their record to 5-0-2 overall and 1-0-1 in District Play. Terry Parker’s record was incomplete at the time of this report. Suwannee will play against Florida High at home on Nov. 27 at 7 p.m.
