Suwannee soccer
- 3 days, 3 games, 1 win

Live Oak — On Wednesday, Nov. 28, the Suwannee boy’s soccer team played the Forrest High Rebels in Jacksonville. The halftime score was 5-0 with Forrest on top, but the ‘Dogs were able to hold the Rebels, not allowing them to score in the second half, thanks to a great effort by the defense led that night by Seniors, Captain's Adam Watson and Chris Ortega. Suwannee turned up the offense also and scored three goals within six minutes. Two goals were scored by senior/captain Justin Shirah and another by freshman Leonel Alvarez. The final score was 5-3, Forrest.

Suwannee played Hamilton at home Thursday, Nov. 29 and took the victory with a 2-0 win. Coach BJ Shirah rested most of his starters for the game and played most of the JV players to prepare for Wolfson on the following night.

Friday night, Nov. 30, Suwannee played the Wolfson Wolfpack at home. The first half was pretty evenly matched and there was no score until 33 minutes into the game, when Wolfson put their first goal in the back of the net. By half time, the score was 1-0 Wolfson. The second half went downhill quick with Wolfson scoring 46 minutes in, then again four minutes later. Wolfson turned up the heat and continued to pound the ‘Dogs defense and they went on to score two more goals ending the game with a 5-0 win.

“Suwannee is working hard and plan to come out strong for their next game against a tough Atlantic Coast (Stingrays) team at Atlantic Coast,” said coach Shirah.

Suwannee's next home game will be Saturday, Dec. 22 against the Providence Stallions from Jacksonville.
