The Branford High School girls varsity softball team lost to the Hamilton County Trojans on Feb. 19 with the final score of 20-18.
“We scored seven runs in the fifth inning to start our comeback,” said BHS softball coach Fred O’Quinn. “ We made three runs in the sixth and seven in the seventh inning.”
The top players stats for the game were:
Kourtney Dunnam 3-5 with 3 runs scored 2 runs batted in (rbi)
Cayla Derringer 3-5 and 2 runs scored 3 rbis
Kasey Raulerson 2-5 with a tipple and 1 run scored 2 rbis
Katie White 2-5 with a triple and 2 runs scored 3 rbis
