The SHS boys basketball program invites all fans to attend the last scheduled game of the regular season Friday at the SHS gymnasium.
The JV boys’ game will begin at 6 p.m. and the varsity boys will follow at 7:30 p.m. The outgoing senior ceremony will be held on the court immediately preceding the varsity game.
The boys basketball team will say farewell to three seniors who have played together at Suwannee High since their JV debut as freshman in fall 2008, including Marcus Lane, Tony Frierson, and Dontavious Hampton. Going into tonight’s game, this senior class compiles a four-year record of 71 wins and 22 losses.
Suwannee’s next game will be for the championship at the Class 5A-District 2 tournament, on Saturday, Feb. 11 at Rickards high school in Tallahassee. If the ‘Dogs can capture the championship they will return to play one final home game at Suwannee High School on Tuesday, Feb. 16.
