Live Oak — The Suwannee Bulldog lady varsity basketball team played Aucilla Christian in Monticello and lost by two Friday, Jan. 11 with the final score of 40-38.

This was the Lady ‘Dogs second time taking on Aucilla in the season. They had high hopes of dominating Aucilla and went into the game with their minds set to win. The game was one of the most defensive games played all season long.

The Lady ‘Dogs played strong all four quarters. With just seconds remaining in the game Kyra McClendon tries to tighten the score by shooting for three. The Lady ‘Dogs were then within two points of taking the lead. The clock continued to tick away with Aucilla in control of the ball and only seven seconds left. Suwannee kept them from scoring, but wasn't able to do so themselves in order to tie it up and go into over time.
