Dogs drop volleyball match to Santa Fe

The Bulldogs fell to the Santa Fe Red Raiders in volleyball Sept. 21 in Alachua, 5-25, 9-25, 8-25.

"Santa Fe is one of the top teams in our area," said coach Cissy Witt. "We played as a team and did the best we could." However, she said she plans changes in the lineup to boost offensive output.

Dominique Reed led the Bulldogs with four service points. Jasmine Jefferson had three, Rebecca Roberts two, and Natalie Pecina one.

Reed and Deana McMillian had one kill each.

Reed had an ace and Casey Owens and Chelsea Jones each had an assist.

The Bulldogs (2-10) hosted Taylor County Sept. 26. See an upcoming edition of the Democrat for a report on the match.
