Branford —
The Hamilton County Trojans beat the Branford High School boy’s basketball team at home Tuesday.
Halfway through the first quarter, the Trojans led by 7-2. They continued to score and didn’t allow their opponents to score again in the first quarter, so it ended with 16-2 Trojans. The boys strategy was similar to the previous girls game in that they constantly stole the ball away from the Bucs.
In the second quarter, things were still not looking good for the Bucs as the clock had just under three minutes to go till the half, the score was now 28-8 giving the Trojans a 20 point lead. By the half the score was 33-11 Trojans.
The Trojans continued to dominate the game and with two and half minutes left for the third quarter, the score was 41-15 Trojans. The trojans grabbed six more points before the quarter ended giving them a 47 to 15 lead.
The fourth quarter was no better for the Bucs as the Trojans were able to make 14 more points to the Bucs’ three bringing the final score to 63-24 Trojans.
