On Monday, March 11, the Hamilton County School District held their annual Teachers and School Related Employees of the Year awards ceremony. Kathy Griffin was chosen as District 2014 Teacher of the Year and Phillis Johnson was chosen as District 2013 School Related Employee of the Year.
The J.R.E. Lee Administrative Complex cafeteria was nearly standing room only as family, friends, school district employees and members of the school board gathered together to honor their own.
The ceremonies began with a welcome from Hamilton County Superintendent of Schools Thomas Moffses, followed by posting of the Colors by the HCHS AFJROTC, the pledge to the flag and the singing of the National Anthem. School board chairman Damon Deas led the invocation and Supt. Moffses presented the awards.

After all the awards were presented, everyone was invited to partake of the bounty of food that was prepared by the HCHS Culinary Arts Department.
