The Live Oak Police Department is searching for two Live Oak teen girls who were both last seen on Wednesday, Sept. 12, according to LOPD Det. Justin Bates.
Bates said Gabriella Hernandez and Jasmine Mendoza are believed to be together and reportedly left Live Oak with two men, Duran Reynaldo and Hilario Luis Jhovani, to an unknown location.
“At this point, we have no reason to believe they’re in danger,” Bates told the Democrat.
“As far as we know, both of the girls went willingly.”
The two girls, both 15, have been entered into the national database of missing persons by the LOPD.
Bates said that Mendoza has kept in minimum contact with her mom.
“So we know that they’re still alive,” he said.
In the past, Hernandez has been known to leave home before, Bates said.
“We’ve got leads to where they may be, but nothing is etched in stone,” stated Bates.
If anyone has any information regarding the missing case of Hernandez and Mendoza, please contact the Live Oak Police Department at (386) 362-7436.
