Democrat Morning Update for Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012

Live Oak — Weather:

 

  • Tuesday Isolated showers after 4pm. Areas of dense fog before 10am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 69. Northwest wind 3 to 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.

     
  • Tuesday Night Scattered showers, mainly after 9pm. Patchy fog after 10pm. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 50. North wind 3 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Traffic:



SUWANNEE COUNTY:



Interstate 10  Daytime lane closures for westbound traffic Monday and possibly Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. five miles east of US 129 (Exit 283) to repair a depression in the outside lane.



US 90  Daytime lane closures between Wes Haney Chevrolet and east of Lee Avenue in Live Oak Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. to trim tree limbs.



US 129 Daytime lane closures at the Interstate 10 overpass north of Live Oak Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for routine bridge inspection.



HAMILTON COUNTY:



Interstate 75  The emergency lanes in both directions between the Georgia line and State Road 6 (Exit 460) may be closed to replace motorist aid call boxes.



US 41  Daytime lane closures after 8:30 a.m. from the Columbia County line to US 129 south of Jasper for resurfacing and drainage improvements.



US 129  Daytime lane closures after 8:30 a.m. between the western city limits of Jasper and the Georgia line for work on the shoulders and miscellaneous clean up.  



LAFAYETTE COUNTY:



County Road 354  Possible daytime lane closures between US 27 and State Road 51 (Hal Adams Bridge) for construction of a new bike trail on the north and east side of the road.



State Road 51  Possible daytime lane closures between County Road 354 and the Hal Adams Bridge for construction of a new bike trail on the east side of the road.



US 27 (Main Street)  The road will be temporarily closed Saturday in Mayo from 6 to 8 p.m. for the Christmas in the Park parade. Lafayette County sheriff’s deputies will detour traffic.
