Democrat Morning Update for Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013

Live Oak — Weather:

 

  • A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly between 9am and 3pm. Patchy dense fog before 9am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 71. Light and variable wind becoming north 5 to 8 mph in the morning.
  • Wednesday Night A 50 percent chance of showers, mainly after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 53.

Traffic:



FDOT road and lane closures for Dec. 29, 2012-Jan. 4, 2013



Note: Most construction projects are suspended through Wednesday for the New Year’s holiday unless otherwise noted.



HAMILTON COUNTY:



Interstate 75  Possible nighttime lane closures in the northbound direction Thursday from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. between State Road 6 (Exit 460) and the Georgia line to resurface the center lane which requires two lanes closed. The speed limit is reduced to 60 mph during lane closures.



US 41  Daytime lane closures after 8:30 a.m. between the Columbia County line (Suwannee River Bridge) and US 129 just south of Jasper to resurface and improve drainage.



US 129  Possible daytime lane closures after 8:30 a.m. between the western city limits of Jasper to the Georgia line for placing the final layer of asphalt.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY:



County Road 354  Possible daytime lane closures between US 27 and State Road 51 (Hal Adams Bridge) to begin paving a new bike trail on the north and east side of the road.



State Road 51  Possible daytime lane closures between County Road 354 and the Hal Adams Bridge to begin paving a new bike trail on the east side of the road.
