FEMA mitigation specialists, business expo part of Suwannee Valley Flood Jam

FEMA, Suwannee County Chamber and Lake City/Columbia County Chamber to offer help to TS Debby Victims Friday and Saturday

Live Oak — SPIRIT OF THE SUWANNEE MUSIC PARK, LIVE OAK, FLA - FEMA mitigation specialists, who can explain disaster-resistant ways to repair and rebuild, will be onsite to answer questions at the Suwannee Valley Flood Jam at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Fla Friday, Aug. 17, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 18, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The SOSMP is located at 3076 95th Drive or four miles north of Live Oak on US 129 at the Suwannee River.



The chambers of commerce will hold a business expo Saturday that will include local businesses who are members of the Chamber, the Florida Division of Emergency Management, FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration to help answer questions on recovery issues for flood victims.



All Columbia, Hamilton and Suwannee County residents will be admitted free to the Suwannee Valley Flood Jam with proper ID showing they are residents of one of these three counties. All net proceeds from this event will be donated to Love INC of Live Oak and United Way of Lake City to help with long term recovery for flood victims in these three counties.



Two-day tickets are $45 in advance, $65 at the gate and include primitive camping. Single-day tickets are $20 per day and available only at the gate. Day tickets do not include primitive camping.



An on-line charitable auction is now available to all, including those not able to attend. Whether in person or not, folks will have the opportunity to bid on a variety of great items including artist memorabilia, diamond and gold jewelry, musical instruments, collectible items and much more.
