UPDATE: Murder victims identified

Live Oak — Three McAlpin residents were found shot to death Thursday morning inside a 172nd Street home, Sheriff Tony Cameron said.

The dead were identified as Joseph Militello Jr., 57, Nancy L. Militello, 68 and Angelo Rosales, 32. Rosales, who shared the residence, was the Militellos’ nephew.

“We have three adults who appear to have died of gunshot wounds,” Cameron said Thursday afternoon.

The bodies were found in a single room by an employee of at least one of the victims.

“We are still canvassing the area, talking to neighbors and trying to piece this together,” Cameron said.

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement, which arrived mid-morning, was still processing the scene as of 5 p.m., this newspaper’s press deadline.

More details when available.
