Woman seriously injured in Sunday night wreck

Live Oak — A Fort White woman was seriously injured in a Suwannee County crash Sunday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Jordan Brooke Johnston, 28, was traveling north on CR 137 at 264th Street around 7:40 p.m. when the 1996 Isuzu Hombre she was driving traveled off the roadway to the right onto the easternmost grassy shoulder. Johnston attempted to steer the Isuzu back to the left and lost control, according to FHP.

The Isuzu then began rotating counter clockwise while traveling in a northeasterly direction toward an adjacent fence on the east side of the roadway. The Isuzu then overturned at least one time, striking the fence. The Isuzu came to a final rest on its roof facing west.

Johnston, who was reportedly not wearing a seat belt, was flown to Shands UF in Gainesville.
