Governor Rick Scott announced Friday the appointment of Virginia Sanchez and the reappointment of Virginia H. Johns and to the Governing Board of the Suwannee River Water Management District.
Sanchez, of Old Town, is the president of Sanchez Farms LLC. She is appointed for a term beginning March 8, 2013, and ending March 1, 2017.
Johns, 57, of Alachua, is the president of John Hipp Construction. She is reappointed for a term beginning March 8, 2013, and ending March 1, 2017.
The appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.

Fire consumes motorhome
A motorhome caught on fire shortly after the owner arrived home from a trip to town Tuesday afternoon. According to SCFR, the fire was determined to be accidental. - Photo: Suwannee County Fire/Rescue
A motorhome was destroyed by fire late Tuesday afternoon shortly after the owner discovered flames were coming from the engine compartment, according to Suwannee County Fire Chief James Sommers.
