Live Oak —
A local cash advance store was robbed late Monday afternoon, according to Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Ron Colvin.
According to Colvin, a call came in about 4:27 p.m. of a robbery at Advance America Cash Advance at 6828 Suwannee Plaza Lane, Live Oak.
The store clerk said that the individual had been in the store and around the area several times that day prior to robbing the store. When the man entered the store, he demanded cash and obtained an undetermined amount of money. The clerk did not see a gun, although the man said he had one. The man then fled on foot.
The clerk described the man as a white male, about six feet tall wearing a navy blue plaid shirt and dark blue pants. He had a white bandage around his left hand. He is believed to be between his early 40s and 50s and has gray and strawberry blonde hair. He is believed to be around 220 to 230 pounds.
