Live Oak — An early Tuesday morning crash resulted in a Live Oak woman sustaining serious injuries.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, Ashley Dawn Anderson-Banks, 28, Live Oak, was traveling north on 169th Road approaching the intersection of CR 136 in a 1997 Toyota around 6:40 a.m. Pakua Stevens, 41, Live Oak, driving a 1999 Saturn, was traveling east on CR 136 approaching the intersection of 169th Road. Banks reportedly failed to stop at the stop sign, colliding with the right side of Stevens’ vehicle.

After the initial collision, Banks’ vehicle rotated clockwise, traveled in a northeasterly direction and came to a final rest facing northeast on the northernmost grassy shoulder of CR 136. Stevens traveled in a northeasterly direction while rotating clockwise and left the roadway onto the northernmost grassy shoulder of CR 136. The left side of Banks’ vehicle struck a fence before coming to a rest in a field of small planted pines facing southeast.

Banks was life-flighted to Shands UF in Gainesville to obtain treatment for serious injuries. Stevens was transported to Shands of Live Oak with non-incapacitating injuries.
