Live Oak woman dies from injuries in wreck

Live Oak — A 27-year-old Live Oak woman died Friday at Shands UF in Gainesville from injuries she sustained in a single-vehicle wreck that morning, according to Suwannee County Public Safety Director James Sommers.

Crystal Nicole Green was ejected from a 2000 Ford Explorer in which she was driving after it rolled after she failed to complete or negotiate a curve while traveling west on 68th Street in western Suwannee County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to the FHP, the Explorer overturned at least once before coming to a final rest on its roof facing northeast. Green, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected during the overturning event and came to a final rest on the northernmost grassy shoulder just west of the Explorer’s final rest location.

Green was transported by Suwannee County Fire/Rescue to Shands at UF in Gainesville where she passed away later that day.
