Bike trail moving along nicely

Mayo — Construction of the new six and a half mile bike trail in Mayo is moving along quickly, compliments of the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and John C. Hipp Construction Company of Alachua.

The 12 foot wide asphalt bike/pedestrian path is on the east and north sides of CR 354 and SR 51, and will run from US 27, east of Mayo, to SR 51 at the Hal Adams Bridge.
