More storms expected our way

Live Oak — There is a slight risk of more severe thunderstorms today through Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Meanwhile, a tornado watch remains in effect until early this evening.

While more storms may come through later today through Tuesday, it’s not yet known if we can expect to see more hail and flooding in low lying areas as did from this morning’s storm.

According to the NWS, a warm front will continue to move slowly north over northeast Florida today through tonight. Widespread showers with locally heavy rain can be expected.

Large hail, gusty winds and isolated tornadoes can be expected.

A cold front will then sweep across the area Tuesday. Moderate to locally heavy rainfall will be possible with the frontal passage. There is a slight risk for severe thunderstorms Tuesday. The primary severe threat will be damaging winds, according to the NWS.
