Vern and Maureen Lloyd were presented the 2012 United Way Presidential Volunteer Service Award, which is the highest honor the White House gives for volunteer service, to thank and honor citizens who, by their demonstrated commitment and example, inspire others to serve. The award was presented during the United Way of Suwannee Valley Annual Meeting April 12 in Lake City.
