Live Oak —
The Live Oak Police Department has captured the man they say burglarized Suwannee-Hamilton Technical Center in Live Oak the weekend of March 9.
Marcus Locklear, 44, of 515 7th St., Live Oak, was arrested without incident and booked on multiple burglary, theft and criminal mischief charges.
According to LOPD Det. Justin Bates, officers responded to SHTC on Monday, March 11, in reference to a burglary that happened sometime over the weekend prior.
“Upon arrival officers discovered someone broke a window on the rear of the building and entered the masonry tech area,” said Bates.
A saw was stolen and later discovered at a local pawn shop. From there, detectives with the LOPD were able to identify Locklear as a suspect.
On Monday, the LOPD was made made aware of Locklear’s whereabouts and responded, along with deputies from the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office, to the residence where they found Locklear. A follow-up investigation revealed 11 firearms that were stolen from a residence in Suwannee County.
