Pot plants seized during civil serving process

Live Oak — Three marijuana plants were discovered in a Live Oak home during the process of civil papers being served by a Suwannee County Sheriff’s deputy, according to the Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office.

Records show that Brian Keith Sutton, 46, 2042 111th Place, Live Oak, was arrested on April 16 when authorities discovered the three marijuana plants growing in pots at his residence while civil papers were being served to him.

According to deputies, a post arrest search of Sutton’s person revealed that he also had a partially smoked marijuana cigarette inside a cigarette pack on his person.

Sutton was booked into the Suwannee County Jail on charges of cultivation of marijuana and possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana.
