Live Oak —
What is the reason that Branford only has 4 graders and Live Oak has more. Branford has more miles of roadway to grade.

Many thanks to both Hunter Abercrombie, Athletic Director, and Jamie Rogers, Head Football Coach, for their prompt scheduling and publication of the upcoming football schedules for the varsity and the junior varsity football programs. We even know ahead of time that Homecoming is on October 11 against Dunnellon. Thanks for this information in March!

Here is a huge "Thank You" to Barry Baker for the warning on the spending relating to the Klausner project. Without an iron-clad agreement with this company, the county stands a good chance to lose in a big way on the effort. Hopefully the county government will listen to Mr. Baker's warning.

To the person who ask why Live Oak doesn't have a "nice July 4th celebration" ... why don't you write a nice check to cover the cost !!!?

Why can't the parents that drop off their child at Suwannee High School use the drop off point, instead of everywhere else? The drop off area is for the safety of the children. I hope it's not your child that gets hit because you are too lazy to drop them of where you are suppose to. Also the red sign means STOP not dropoff.

This is to the individual or individuals who "insist" on throwing their garbage out on the frontage of Cr.349 and 176th St. You obviously have a vehicle, is it that hard to throw it out at the dumb....I strongly agree that we "all" should put in some voluntary time and help this community flourish...ITS SPRING TIME cant we all pull together for some "spring cleaning...also whomever is dumping animal remains out there PLEASE find somewhere else to do it..they are stacking up...

Am I the only one who recognizes how the City and County do everything they can do to restrict and reduce the ability to make a living? Seems like all the home town businesses are doomed. But watch them roll out the green (as in $) carpet for Klausner. What a joke.

This is for all of Suwannee County, with this beautiful weather out there, let's all get out and pick up some trash. Even if you just do in front of your own house and your neighbors, that would be a big improvement....and don't forget, it's great exercise also!

You people in Live Oak need to grow up..Things are going to change if you like it or not.

Many, many thanks to the school board members who voted against the reconfiguration. All of the presentations I attended were severely slanted in support of the idea. It would have been a much better idea to at least address all of the pros and cons of the idea. The correct decision was made.
****
The opportunity for a "chosen few" to get together in a new school setting via reconfiguration was put to a HALT completely on Tuesday night when Cason, Holtzclaw, and Ulmer voted NO to reconfiguring the elementary schools. We, the VOTERS, commend you for your gutsy call. Our other two board members think the $102,000 it would have cost to have made the change is not a very substantial amount of money as championed by Supt. Scarborough himself.
****
Many thanks to Julie Ulmer, Catherine Cason, and JM Holtzclaw for voting NO on the reconfiguration issue. These three members os the SCSB are ones who are looking out for unwise spending of taxpayers money. You three deserve a pat on the back for your stance on this issue. Thank you!!!!
****
Mr. Yulee, Mr. Thomas, and Mr. Prins have the Future in their sights. Thank you for standing up to backward thinking. The VOTERS are with you and will remember what you have fought for AND WHO stood against a future for Live Oak.
****
Any chain restaurant looking to locate in Live Oak will find another place because the Mayor wants to hold tight to antiquated policies.....bye bye Applebees
****
Come on Councilmen Grantham and Mixon! Where is your sense of duty. Communities all around us are GROWING their tax base with service oriented revenues. Why do you insist on keeping Live Oak in the dark ages? Ask for a reconsideration of the sales hours issue and Vote FOR it this time!
****
Thanks to the Suwannee County School Board for the professional nature in which you handled the meeting on Tuesday night at 6PM for the consideration of reconfiguring the three existing elementary age schools. This was handled smoothly and we owe a huge thank you to all our board members and superintendent for this.
