Live Oak —
The two teenage Live Oak girls who went missing earlier this month were found safe Tuesday in southern Georgia, according to Live Oak Police Det. Justin Bates.
“They were found yesterday up in Colquitt County, Georgia,” Bates said.
Gabriella Hernandez and Jasmine Mendoza, both 15, were last seen on Wednesday, Sept. 12 and were entered into the national database of missing persons by the LOPD.
The duo were found with two men, Duran Reynaldo and Hilario Luis Jhovani, who are believed to have left Live Oak with the two girls, said Bates.
He stated that the two were found through various sources.
“We were able to get tidbits of information through friends,” said Bates. “Also through subpoenas for phone records to find them.”
Bates said the investigation continues.
