Jasper —
Two Jasper residents were critically injured in a motorcycle wreck Friday on CR 141 in Hamilton County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Reports show that a 2007 Yamaha was traveling north on CR 141 at a high rate of speed around 5:48 p.m. The driver, Douglas M. Parr Jr., 42, reportedly failed to negotiate a left curve and exited the roadway on to the east shoulder. Parr was unable to maintain control. The motorcycle then began overturning numerous times, ejecting Parr and passenger, Jonathan Parr, 17.
FHP reported that Parr Jr. was not wearing a helmet while Jonathan Parr was.
Both were flown by helicopter to Shands UF.
