Democrat Morning Update for Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013

Live Oak — Weather:

  • Wednesday Showers and thunderstorms before 1pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 1pm and 5pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5pm. Some of the storms could produce gusty winds and heavy rain. Patchy fog before 8am. High near 74. Breezy, with a southwest wind 14 to 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

     
  • Wednesday Night A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm, then a slight chance of showers between 9pm and midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 46. West wind 7 to 11 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Traffic:



HAMILTON COUNTY:



Interstate 75  Daytime and nighttime lane closures Monday through Thursday for northbound traffic between State Road 6 (Exit 460) and the Georgia line for paving. Two lanes are closed between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. to pave the center lane. The speed limit is reduced to 60 mph during lane closures. No lanes are closed from 6 a.m. Friday until 8 p.m. Sunday.



US 41  Daytime lane closures after 8:30 a.m. between the Columbia County line (Suwannee River Bridge) and US 129 just south of Jasper for miscellaneous clean up as part of the resurfacing.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY:



County Road 354  Daytime lane closures between US 27 and State Road 51 (Hal Adams Bridge) to provide pavement markings and cleanup for the new bike trail on the north and east side of the road.
