Man indicted on two counts of premeditated murder

Live Oak — The Suwannee County Grand Jury indicted a Live Oak man on two counts of premeditated murder in the shooting deaths of two Live Oak brothers in late January, according to Third Circuit State Attorney Jeff Siegmeister.

The jury met on Friday to deliberate on Marcus Cole, 40, and found probable cause to indict him of the murder charges.

Abram (Abe) and Mike Williams were reportedly at Cole's house with others having a get together when a fight broke out. Cole then reportedly retrieved a high powered rifle and shot Abram and Mike. The shooting occurred around 10 p.m. on Jan. 26. Abram Williams died at a regional hospital. Mike Williams died on the scene.

After a fairly quick deliberation, the grand jury found there was enough evidence to indict Cole.

No trial date has been set.
