The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning advisory for the Suwannee River at Ellaville at US 90 affecting Hamilton and Suwannee counties from Sunday afternoon until further notice, or until the warning is canceled.
At 3 a.m. Friday, the stage was 42 feet. Flood stage is 54 feet. Minor flooding is forecast.
The forecast calls for the river to rise above flood stage by Sunday afternoon and continue to rise to enar 57.5 feet by Wednesday morning.
The Suwannee River State Park will be closed if the river rises to 58 feet.
